Harding athletes recieve Academic All-Great American Conference honors
Sixty-one Harding University athletes recieved Academic All-Great American Conference honors for the winter/spring sports season. For student-athletes to be recognized on the Academic All-Conference team, they must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing (true freshmen and redshirt freshmen are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at the nominating institution. In addition, their grade-point average must be a minimum of 3.30 based on the 4.0 system. The GPA is cumulative for the athlete's entire collegiate career. Harding, an NCAA Division II school located in Searcy, Arkansas, led the 12-team conference with 61 student-athletes receiving Academic All-GAC during the winter/spring sports seasons and a total of 112 honorees during the 2015-16 season.

Students participate in Harding University Global Outreach
Global Outreach will send more than 80 students to more than 20 countries this summer to complete various internships and mission trips. Summer mission trips are anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks long and are geared towards students who have never been on an overseas mission trip or who are not interested in long-term mission work in the future. These groups are led by a University faculty member and fulfill specific mission goals such as teaching English, hosting Vacation Bible School, or completing other projects with area churches.
