The Harding University Department of Theatre presented its annual awards during a celebration dinner on April 22.

Harding University's 44th annual Spring Sing "Curtain Up" was April 13-15. Four hosts and hostesses, 20 ensemble members and seven vocalists performed throughout the musical variety show drawing more than 10,000 audience members to four performances. Spring Sing began as a small-scale campus musical showcase in 1974 and has grown to incorporate nearly 1,000 students performing as part of the ensemble or the eight competing social club shows. The shows are judged for originality, costume, choreography and music. Cash awards and plaques are presented to winners, who donate the prize money to charities of their choice.

The Harding University Department of Theatre presents its annual one-act festival "Seasons of Life," featuring one-act plays directed by eight theatre students.

Students have been selected as members of the 2016-17 Harding University Concert Choir.

Students have been selected as members of the 2016-17 Harding University percussion ensemble.

Students have been selected for the 2016-17 Harding University Jazz Band.

Student musicians who play violin, viola, cello or double bass have been selected to play in the 2016-17 orchestra.

University students were selected for the 2016-17 Thundering Herd Marching Band.

Students were selected for the 2016-17 Harding University women's ensemble Belle Canto.

A group of students was selected as members of Belles & Beaux, a musical performance group at Harding University.

Students were selected for the 2016-17 Harding University Chamber Singers. The group sings Renaissance and contemporary music and performs under the direction of Dr. Kelly Neill, associate professor of music.

Members have been selected for the 2016-17 Harding University Chorus. Following auditions at the beginning of the fall semester, students were chosen for the 60-member ensemble that performs on and off campus.

Nine student directors fulfilled Harding University theatre major requirements by producing portions of "The Eye of the Artist."

University students were selected for the 2015-16 Thundering Herd Marching Band.

Students performed in Harding University's annual Spring Sing production April 17-19. More than 1,000 students from 24 different social clubs participated in the production as they competed for cash prizes to donate to eight charitable organizations.

Students were selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Chamber Singers. The group sings Renaissance and contemporary music. The Chamber Singers rehearse twice a week and give three to four concerts on campus each year. They travel occasionally and perform under the direction of Dr. Kelly Neill, assistant professor of music.

Students were selected for the jazz band, directed by Drs. Scott and Cindy Carrell, associate professors of music. The group participates in activities including local and campus performances, trips within the region and performances in the University's Spring Sing production.

Students were selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Concert Choir. Following auditions at the beginning of the fall semester, students were chosen for the ensemble and have performed on and off campus.

Students have been selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Community Orchestra. The group utilizes university musicians, local professionals and advanced string students from the Searcy Community School of Music.

Members have been selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Chorus. Following auditions at the beginning of the fall semester, students were chosen for the 60-member ensemble that performs on and off campus.

A group of 12 students was selected as members of Belles & Beaux, a musical performance group at Harding University.

Ten students were selected for the 2013-14 Harding University Good News Singers. The vocal ensemble performs on and off campus to spread the gospel through song.

The following local residents will perform with nearly 60 cast members, production crew and musicians in the Harding University Homecoming musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Shows will take place Oct. 26-27 in Benson Auditorium on campus.

The following local residents were selected for the 2012-13 Harding University String Quartet. The four-member ensemble is open to qualified members of the Harding University Community Orchestra who audition on violin, viola or cello.

The following local residents were selected for the the 2012-13 Harding University Wind Ensemble. The 55-member group offers band performance opportunities for advanced musicians and is open to musicians of all majors who successfully complete the required audition.
