Harding University inducts students into Alpha Chi honor society
Harding University inducted more than 100 students into the school's chapter of Alpha Chi National Honor Society during a ceremony on November 3.

White Coat Ceremony
On August 16, 2019, 40 students from 10 states and three foreign countries received their white coat to begin their academic training to become doctors of pharmacy. This unique group of individuals comprises the Class of 2023. For the next four years, this diverse group will spend countless hours working together as they traverse the terrain of their pharmacy education. Dr. McLarty provided the University welcome and Dr. Celia Proctor ('12), Assistant Director for System Formulary Management and Integration at Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, Maryland, gave the keynote address. We express our deepest thanks to the Arkansas Pharmacists Association (APA) for generously sponsoring the ceremony and reception.

Students awarded funds from the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
Congratulations to the six students that were awarded funds from a rural loan program established by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. The program gives students the opportunity to receive a tuition loan that would not require repayment if they immediately go to work as a pharmacist in a rural Arkansas community following graduation. The students were selected by the Arkansas Rural Loan Scholarship Committee after an application and interview process. The Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy has established similar programs at both UAMS College of Pharmacy and Harding University College of Pharmacy.
