Rhiannon Roper of Fortuna to Spend Summer Session in Scotland

2012 May 18

Rhiannon Roper of Fortuna (95540) is among a group of 10 Harding University education majors spending five weeks in Larbert, Scotland, assisting, observing and tutoring Scottish students with Harding University's Cannon-Clary College of Education.

Roper will be working with Scottish teachers to meet pre-student teaching requirements and earn eight hours of credit. The students will be under the direction of Dr. Gordon Sutherlin, professor of education, and his wife, Cynthia.

During their time in a teaching environment, the students will be able to visit historical and cultural Scottish sites, including Edinburgh Castle, Glasgow, Dublin, the Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye.

With an enrollment of more than 7,100 students, Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France and Zambia. For more information visit www.harding.edu/international.
