Rachel Davis of Lynchburg Enters Harding University Physician Assistant Program

Rachel Davis of Lynchburg (37352) was welcomed to the Harding University College of Allied Health at the annual white coat ceremony Aug. 8.

The ceremony was the culmination of a week of introductions to the program. Students gained knowledge, respect and appreciation for the profession and were introduced to the concepts of professionalism in the medical world.

In front of an audience of family, friends and faculty members, was officially inducted into the program and received a white coat and name tag. This tradition represents the transition into the professional level of physician assistance education and the commitment to providing high-quality health care.

Harding offers a 28-month program of study leading to the Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies. The program is the first of its kind in the state of Arkansas and consists of an intensive medical education experience with a focus on primary care.
