Misty McRae of Diane Enters Harding University College of Pharmacy

2012 Sep 4

Misty McRae of Diane (75640) was welcomed to the Harding University College of Pharmacy at the annual white coat ceremony Aug. 17. The program included keynote speaker Dr. Bob Dufour, chief operations officer at Blue Ocean Innovative Solutions.

Sponsored by the Arkansas Pharmacists Association, the ceremony was the culmination of a week of introductions to the program. Students gained knowledge, respect and appreciation for the profession and were introduced to the concepts of professionalism in the pharmaceutical world.

In front of an audience of family, friends and faculty members, each student was officially inducted into the college and given a white coat and nametag. This tradition represents the transition into the professional level of pharmacy education and their commitment to providing high-quality health care.

Harding offers a four-year program of study leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The program consists of three years comprised of a combination of didactic instruction and early pharmacy practice experiences followed by a fourth year comprised entirely of advanced pharmacy practice experiences. Harding is the largest private university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars than any other private university in the state. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France, Greece, Italy and Zambia. For more information visit www.harding.edu.
